Daily oral language
-One idea you could use for Daily Oral Language would be to have a sentence written on a sentence strip. Have your class get into groups of 3. Hand each group a sentence strip and have them correct the sentence with the right correction marks. Ask the students to put a thumbs up when they are done. When everyone is done, have them sticky tack their sentence onto the board. In front of the class, each group will explain to the class why they corrected it and how. This D.O.L. would be more for 1st-2nd grade.
-Another idea would be to hand out lined paper to the students. Up on the elmo, you would have a sentence with errors in it. Quietly and independently, the students would write down the sentence on their own paper and make the corrections. Once they made all their corrections, they would rewrite it the correct way below. Once they are finished, they will put up a thumb to let the teacher know they are done. When everyone is finished, the teacher will call on students to tell the teacher an error. Once all the errors are found, the teacher will model how to properly write the sentence. This could be used for any grade depending on how long and hard the sentence is.
